The Majors

NPPL
This US-based circuit was born in 2003. It adopted the
European 7-man format and promised to deliver some of
the best events in the country, by professionally promoting
paintball on a massive scale. This series holds five events
each year and is broadcast on Fox Sports Net Television
in the US. |

NXL
The newest paintball format was developed in 2002 by Procaps
CEO Richmond Italia. This fast 5-man paintball game emulates
other mainstream sports like hockey and has already found
new adepts with a Division one and two X-BALL. Only ten
franchised teams play the NXL, broadcast on ESPN. |

PSP
The oldest US-based circuit is still burning strong with
a very strong 5-man paintball team presence, and Division
X-Ball. It is host to the bran newer NXL format and holds
five events with a final in Disneyworld each year. |

Millennium Series
This is the European paintball circuit. The format is
7-man with PRO, Divisions 1-3 and takes place across Europe
in Spain, Germany, the Netherlands, France and the UK.
Though most teams are European, US teams frequently make
the trip to compete in these truly international events. |

XPSL
In 2004, over 3000 players participated on 478 teams.
On average, 100 teams attended each event. $268,135 was
given away in prizes. Over 14 million paintballs were
shot and hundreds of new teams debuted in the XPSL.The
7-man league is sponsored by the NPPL.

CFOA
The CFOA, the world's largest five-man tournament series, has promoted events across the southeast United States since 1999. Growing from a twelve team event that year to an average of over 100 teams in 2005, the league will offer both traditional five-man and now XBall in 2006 in response to massive player demand. Played by top athletes and supported by top industry companies, the CFOA delivers national-level competition and promotion on a regional scale, at local event prices! |

NEPL
The New England Paintball League is the largest regional
one day tournament series in the USA. Created ten years
ago, the NEPL continues to bring the highest quality level
of tournament play to the Northeast. Last year, a total
of 180 teams participated in at least one event and the
NEPL averaged 85 teams at each of the five events. The
NEPL has set the standard for tournament paintball in
the Northeast and offers Rookie 3 man, novice 5 man, 7
man intermediate, 7 man non pro divisions. The league
is sponsored by the NPPL. |

NCPA
The National Collegiate Paintball Association was created
by college players to promote paintball at the interscholastic
level. The NCPA and its member clubs organize recruitment
drives, informational meetings, recreational club outings,
scenario and big games, charity events, intra-scholastic
events for other university organizations, and of course
the national intercollegiate tournament league. |

MSTS
The Midnight Sun Tournament Series is the first tournament
series of the Last Frontier Paintball League, also known
as the LFPL. The series offers events in the 3 and 5 man
formats. It is both an individual tournament and series
as each team accumulates points for their finish in previous
tournaments and with the addition of the points from the
State Cup, a state Champion is decided in each division. |

OOPL
The Ontario Paintball Players League in Eastern Canada,
is a 5 event series that follows the 7 man and 5 man formats.
In 2004 the players voted the OPPL the best series in
Canada and in 2005 the league is expanding its divisions
as well as becoming a Canadian feeder series for the NPPL.
The league intends to act as a step before the NPPL. |

Centurio Circuit
With 7 legs of 5-Man events in 7 different Eastern European
countries. This series offers good quality events at low
entry fees. |

The Nordic Series
Newly renamed in Northern European Series, features 5
legs in all regions of Scandinavia. They have introduced
a Elite division above divisions 1, 2 and 3, connected
with a promotion/delegation scheme. |

P8ce Series (Netherlands)
In a very professional manner their provide excellent
service to their 20 teams. For 2005 they plan to introduce
a X-Ball like competition, called City Clash. |

DPL (Germany)
Finally, after years of negotiations, Germany has got
a unified national league system, comprising 7-Man for
established tournament teams and 5-Man for rookies and
recreational
players. The Deutsche Paintball Liga will have around
100 teams at 4 legs in 5 geographic regions, plus a grand
final. Slots in the premier league will be available only
by promotion from the lower ranks. |
